Praia dos Nativos - Natives Beach;
Praia dos Nativos is the main beach of Trancoso (approximately 3 km long). It is a miniature coast with various areas, some crowdy other very quiet. There are big restaurants on the beach but, due to its length, you can always find quiet places just by walking a bit. You may take a ride on the river by boat or rent a kayak. See videos
Going south;
 Praia dos Coqueiros - Coconuts Beach;
Praia dos Coqueiros offers a set of natural swimming pools, with quiet water protected by a coral reefs about 100 meters from the sea side. Its name was given due to the presence of numerous coconut trees. During the low tide appear natural pools where you can do snorkelling.
Praia da Pedra Grande – Big Rock Beach
Located 500 m2 further, this beach proposes more sophisticated restaurants. The beach itself has little sand.
Praia Itaquena - Beach Itaquena
This beach stands a long way from Praia da Pedra Grande. To reach this point you will need a 2 hours walk. You can get there as well by bicycle or motorbike (not by car) although it is not very much appreciated to use motor driven vehicles in Trancoso beaches in now days. You will find here beautiful dunes and small lakes when the tide is low.
Praia do Espelho and Curuipe – Mirror Beach and Curuipe Beach
One hour ride, by car, to the South, lie the beaches of Espelho and Curuípe. This beach called Espelho Beach because of its calm and crystalline waters, reflecting the vegetation around is famous in Brazil for its beauty. You can have long walk here , in almost deserted beaches or enjoy the select and expensive restaurants . The road to go there is not very good.
Going north;
 Praia Rio da Barra – Rio da Barra Beach
A twenty to thirty minutes walk will bring you to this very special and captivating sightseeing. It is a one day trip. You can enjoy there the view of the ocean with particularly strong waves, the luxurious vegetation (mangroves) and the contrast given by the river following the Mangraoves and falling in the sea. You can as well have a lunch here
Praia da Taipe – Taipe Beach
Going further north for another 30 minutes walk, passing the cliffs of Club Méditerranée, you will find a Natural Reserve known for its turtles. It is very quiet and protected environment.

Trekking between Arraial D'Ajuda and Trancoso (going north from Trancoso beach) is a very nice and surprising walk proposing various water sport attractions.
